Environmental Graphics and Signage for Offices

While employed as a Project Designer for Cygnus Design Group, an experiential design and wayfinding creative studio, I reimagined office spaces through environmental graphic design (EGD).

As the lead EGD Consultant on these projects, I work closely with architects, workplace planners, and interior designers to conceptualize and execute graphics and signage for spaces that are unique and easy to navigate.

This office EGD concept showcases plant life of British Columbia. Plants were selected based on their resilient properties in nature.

To streamline the EGD process for future offices and smaller-scale projects, I worked with a team of designers to develop a resource of broad themes for visual concepts. This resource also included specifications for placement, materials, scale, and implementation strategies. Balancing consistency with creativity, the guidelines support opportunities that respond to specific ministry requirements, the interior design, and unique site attributes of each space.

I conceptualized and wrote all the design and material specifications for the “Modern Map” concept, which was inspired by topographic maps of the regions of BC.
