Link Toronto

Link Toronto

Link Toronto is an organization acting to address the link between domestic violence, child abuse, animal abuse, and elder abuse in Toronto. Their SafePet Program coordinates foster care for the pets of survivors fleeing situations of domestic violence.

I designed their logo, visual identity, website, and marketing materials.

After cycling through initial concepts, we found that a simplified version of a Venn Diagram, a shape often used to communicate the interconnectedness of abuse, best represented the goals and values of the organization.

Building the Link website had special considerations. My initial research revealed that similar websites, while full of useful resources, were often densely populated with unclear navigation.

I structured the information architecture to ensure that upon first glance, LINK Toronto’s services and resources were clear, approachable, and useful.

Given the sensitivity of the content, and taking into consideration that one of our core audiences are survivors of domestic abuse, a “Hide Screen” button was coded to ensure viewers could swiftly change their screens in adverse situations.
